After analysing previous horror trailers made by past students we decided to change our whole pitch and sub genre. This was because our original pitch and second pitch was too cliche and felt more fit for an opening title sequence. We also thought it was too complex to produce the correct narrative for a teaser trailer. We also wanted to do something original and unique by connecting promiscuous and seductive themes. This allows us to cater at a more specific audience which will be the demographic of young males that are interested in sexual attraction.
We have not decided on the final casting but after organising group meetings it enabled us to decide briefly on suitable roles for our group.
We found that the sub genre, zombie, is too conventional as well as paranormal and slasher. Therefore, we concluded that we want a sub genre of vampire. This sub genre includes comical features of horror such as 'Lesbian Vampire Killers'. Horror that has the sub genre of vampires highlight the theme of romance and love and brings out the goodness of vampires such as 'Twilight'. This is what we wish to avoid as comedy and romance is too artificial and we wish to associate vampires with simply horror and gore consisting of manipulative and seducing female roles.
There is a short simplistic beginning of the trailer too create tension and to raise climax throughout the trailer. There is a close up of a female saying 'I woke up from a concussion, i cant remember anything' followed by another female saying 'Dont you remember me?'. There is a quick shot of the female role biting another female. Next there is a close up on the biten female with eyes closed, and sudden beat is synchronised with her eyes opening.
Two females are then 'manipulated' by the females but the audience isn't aware of this as it doesn't need to be necessary as we wish allow the audience to ask questions in order to watch the full movie. There are a multiple of fast paced editing shots of revealing flesh of men with blood shed on sheets and the vampires clothing which they use to clean their mouth. The title is then going to reveal with the release date.
