We were provided with software 'Final Cut Express' to edit our progressing trailer. The software widened perspective, it allowed us to adjust soundtrack, to create multiple voice overs and overlays. It allowed us to pace, trim and distract clips which helped develop a constructive storyline. It also allows us to apply a range of effects in order to enhance story elements.

Practice Shots
By experimenting with practice shots allowed us to see what worked well and what didn't. This planning shot below shows our initial idea and how we are basically going to have it. We find these shots are important when it comes to our trailer as without it the trailer may not make sense and feel like a music video or a opening title sequence rather than a trailer. These shots highlight the theme of prostitution and promiscuous activity in which foreshadows the shots that happen after this. The victim in this is oblivious to the idea he is about to get physically tortured by two vampires. The use of the tilt shot in the opening highlights the attraction she is trying to achieve from her male victims. However, after much confrontation and collaboration we have finally decided to change the whole initial idea of this luring scene, it was stated by many of our spectators that our female role didn't unfortunately fit with our sub genre, it made the narrative seem uncomfortable and it made a vivid differentiation within our trailer.

We've know decide to change the second idea to sort of return back to the original idea of having Kirsty luring the victims, however their is a sense of loyalty in her character where she is protecting the two vampires. To read more about this idea go to Script.

We had a much more seductive shots for our practice shots, however learning from the balance of having torture porn and provocativeness we transformed it into the trailer above. We had a shot of Nicole licking the blood of Sam's chest and realised it may have been inappropriate. Although, we are going to aim for his neck to highlight the genre of vampires and make it clearer however, we are going to do more subtle shots in order to produce minimal 'sexual' scenes. By doing this will want our audience demographics male's 18+ want to see more revealed in the movie which we wish we could make. We found that the irony within the soundtrack was extremely effective and coontapuntal, to also attract male attention, increasing the viewers and highlighted a theme in our horror which is seductivity and blood.

During filming for our trailer we blurred the line between provocative torture horror and torture porn, because of this we had to rethink most of our shots or how much we showed of the shots.
Some of our shots cannot be used but the ones that can are only being shown in quick flashes.
