Location

By filming around Churchdown School gave us such a wider space of locations as in our specific school we have a lot of dark corridors and creepy boiler rooms which could easily be turned into a set for our Horror. It is also an advantage as it is much easier to get to simply because we are already there.

Our idea for locations for our old pitch
We want our set to enhance our idea of a paranormal slasher, in order to do this we need to synchronize the set along with our pitch. By having done research on horror movie trailers, there are a strong variety of settings, as it shows many different shots of the entire film. We have three different locations so far which include;
The mother will be giving up her baby in a hospital and this led to the idea of having a fast edited shot in Gloucester hospital. This will have a more realistic approach to the actual giving up of the baby. We will have to ask permission and hope that it is acceptable for us to film there. If not then we will ave many alternative ideas, as the actual baby can just be shown in the stomach being gently touched by the adoptive parents.
We have also thought of filming in the cathedral as it has an authentic and dark approach which is almost perfect for a screaming shot which intends to make the audience jump. The blackened grave stones can be used to signify ancient death, the dungeons can be used to represent a trapped soul that has plotted a gruesome revenge. There are also many elements of the cathedral and it gives us a wide amount of choice of where we want to film.
Furthermore, a more conventional setting of media is something in which we intend on using, such as a simple forest such as Chosen Hill which is relatively close which makes it more of an easier destination to film.
These destinations have a good relation to our movie trailer, however we wish to further discuss our ideas with our group to improve our ideas.

Due to the nature of our horror we needed very specific locations in order for it to make sense.
We did consider having a lot of our shots
Our first location is A boiler room which is dark and damp. This is perfect for our horror as it is about vampires and conventionally vampires can not go out in the day so locations have to be dark.
Our second location is a bathroom, we have a bathroom scene where Chloe and Nicole who play the vampires are in a bath full of blood hence our title blood bath. This is a crucial part in our horror as we really get to see the sickening nature of the vampires.
